This past week I photographed the elegant wedding of Susan and Jeff in Palo Alto, CA. They had a gorgeous ceremony and garden party reception at Gamble Gardens, about forty-five minutes south of San Francisco. The day was filled with the love and support of their closest friends and family; the sun was shining and all the flowers and greenery in the gardens made the perfect backdrop for a classic and beautiful wedding. Susan and Jeff are an absolutely adorable couple…It was an honor to be a part of their celebration. I wish them a long and happy life together!

I spent last weekend in the Los Angeles area with soon-to-be married couple Elizabeth and Jonathan. It was a leisurely weekend full of picture taking and sight-seeing, lounging by the pool and biking on the boardwalk of Venice Beach. Liz and Jon were wonderful hosts and fantastic models! I had the hardest time deciding which images to use for their engagement  post – there are just too many amazing pictures! We began the photo shoot while biking Venice Beach and the Santa Monica Pier. The next day we continued our shoot at well known shopping spot – The Grove and also at Farmer’s Market. We finished off the day with a night shoot at The Custom Hotel – where I was staying during my visit. Between the Southern California scenery and this gorgeous couple I was in photographer heaven. I can’t wait for their wedding at Kohl Mansion in August. See you guys soon!

ORLEE + DAVID day after shoot ( ANGEL ISLAND )

Tuesday, July 7th, 2009

This past Sunday Erik and I met up with recently wed couple Orlee and David by the docks in Sausalito, for what turned out to be an incredible evening of picture-taking, fun and excitement. We were graciously chauffeured by sailboat over to Angel Island by the couples good friend and fearless sea captain Conor Mehan. The sail over provided some great photo opportunities with gorgeous views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge. Once we arrived on Angel Island, most of the shooting took place in the hauntingly beautiful derelict buildings that once served as both a military base and Quarantine Station in the mid-1800s. The location was absolutely incredible – For a photographer it was a bit like being in candy store and everything is free! The setting combined with this gorgeous and willing couple made this shoot a day to remember! We stayed until dusk and then headed back for a sunset sail home…It was an absolutely perfect evening! I can’t say enough good things about Orlee and David – It has truly been a joy working with them.
