Lollipops + bubble blower’s + grass stains

Although wedding photography is my top priority, I also absolutely LOVE photographing children.

I’ve been thinking of offering ‘day in the life’ packages for the young ones. Not your typical kids portraits by any means. What I mean is – spend a couple hours, maybe even a whole day getting dirty and having fun with them. Really make them feel comfortable with me…and make it meaningful for them too. It should be something they like to do, something that is important to them.  I could accompany them to a sporting event (horseback riding, soccer, swimming) we could go to a fair, the waterpark, the beach and build a sand castle, anything really!! Maybe even just a day at home – photographing them doing what they do best. Shooting them in a journalistic fashion, really capturing the personality of each child. I want to make images that are fun, and full of life!

Anyone have any thoughts? Or want to volunteer your little one for a trial run?

After almost 24 hours in transit, I arrived in Udupi, India – The colorful town that I would be photographing my next wedding in.

This sunrise from my hotel room…The color of the sun was like nothing I’d ever seen…beautiful!

The city, Kim and I on a Camel, an elephant at the temple, cows eating banana’s by moonlight….

Here’s me having henna tattoos done on my arms the day before the wedding (photo courtesy of Prashant, the groom – who is quite a photographer himself!)

The beach at Sunset – again the colors were remarkable…so different from my neck of the woods :-)
